Bach’s D minor Manifesto — Maximianno Cobra Edition: Early Recording Series — BWV 1052 and BWV 903 — New Multimedia Edition

I am pleased to announce the release of the Bach D minor Manifesto as part of the Maximianno Cobra Edition: Early Recording Series. This new multimedia edition brings together two cornerstones of Johann Sebastian Bach’s (1685–1750) keyboard output: the Harpsichord Concerto in D minor (BWV 1052) and the Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue (BWV 903).

In these performances, I apply the principles of the TEMPUS Theory to explore the Mastery of Time and Space through the relentless architectural drive of the D minor tonality. Accompanied by Collegium Invisibile (Founded 1999), I utilise a Michael Mietke (c. 1710) replica to achieve the specific German tonal weight and clarity required for these masterworks.
