Fantasia in D Minor, K. 397/385g & Piano Concerto No. 20 in D Minor, K. 466 — Maximianno Cobra — Piano & Conductor / Europa Philharmonia

NEW RELEASE — MOZART: THE D-MINOR MANIFESTO

I am delighted to announce a new TEMPUS Collection release — Mozart: The D-Minor Manifesto — bringing together the Fantasia in D Minor, K. 397/385g and the Piano Concerto No. 20 in D Minor, K. 466, with Europa Philharmonia in the Concerto.

These two works reveal radically different dimensions of Mozart’s D-Minor language — from the concentrated freedom of the solo Fantasia to the dramatic dialogue between piano and orchestra in the Concerto. For this recording, I perform Ludwig van Beethoven’s cadenzas, WoO 58, for the first and third movements, reinforcing the historical line of TRADITION — TRANSMISSION — TRANSITION at the heart of my Secret Curriculum and TEMPUS Theory.
